Monday 15th October 2018
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are celebrating our Harvest Mass in school on Monday, 22nd October 2018 at 2pm and would like your support. There are two items we would like every child to bring to school by Monday please.
Could you please provide your child with a piece of fruit or vegetable for our festival in the correct colour listed below. These will be shared by each class after the ceremony, or used in class cooking that week.
We also want to help those who are not as lucky as us, and will support a local charity as we are celebrating Harvest at St Joseph’s Primary School. We are collecting food for local people in need, which we will donate to the Raven House Trust. The items we are looking for are long life milk, baby food, formula milk, tinned fruit and vegetables, pasta, rice, tinned soup, tinned spaghetti, porridge, cereals, packets of smash, tinned meat, tinned fish, packets of biscuits, tins of custard or rice pudding.
Although it would be ideal to have these two items in school by Monday, 22nd October for our celebration, our collection in school will be open until 9th November 2018. If you would like to donate more than one item, we are very grateful for all donations we receive for our Harvest project.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Blanks and Mrs Beckett
